Stopped by for lunch with co-workers. They were severely understaffed; but service wasn't too bad.
They have a nice little outside porch seating area that shares a counter with the inside.
Got the loaded fries as an appetizer - really good. I got the Honey Badger sauced wings. It's not spicy at all - but great flavor. They let me purchase the San Antonio glass for $3. My chicken sandwich, the Spicy Tatanka, wasn't very spicy; but wow...huge pieces of chicken. I was full.
If you like chicken, this is the place to eat. Chicken of all types from sandwiches to boneless to bone n wings.
However. I will not be back. There’s mandatory gratuity on the bill. And an up charge for using my credit card.
Gold Feather Review
We visited Gold Feather recently with friends and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was great, with impressive design work and a fun yellow color scheme. The restaurant exclusively played songs by Paramore, which added a fun touch. Our server was attentive and on top of everything.
We tried various dishes, including Tabasco Honey Bone-in Wings, Easy Tiger Tenders, and Sasquatch BBQ Boneless Wings. All were amazing, but the standout was the sweet potato fries with marshmallow sauce—think Thanksgiving sweet yam casserole, but even better.
The presentation on small metal trays with paper lining was nice. Sad to see the duck fat fries gone, but the regular fries were still outstanding.
Gold Feather and Ladybird Beer Garden, both owned by the same owner, offer exceptional service and great food. Gold Feather feels less local and more likely to franchise, while Ladybird has a more local and adult crowd vibe with live music.
The prices were a bit high, $34 for a 20 bone-in wing combo with 2 sides, not including dipping sauces, which might limit me being a regular. However, for the overall experience, it's worth it.
I would recommend Gold Feather to others due to its central location, unique food offerings, and attentive staff. Just keep in mind that it's on the pricier side compared to other wing restaurants.
What's Sup Googlers? YouTuber, as yall know me and what I do, just visited my hometown on family business, so my nephew brought me here to eat and drink Wow. Really, the food was delicious. Shout to the cooks in the back kitchen. It was my first time eating here. But I had a really good feeling that the food was gonna be good and it didn't disappoint. I ordered twenty wings ten hot ten bbq breaded, and it was delicious with the side of fries and chees sauce. MY food was da bomb 💣 and so was my waitress Emily. You're the truth. Thank you for your great, friendly service. I highly recommend that you come inside and eat here. You're going to have a great time. When I come back to visit San Antonio, I will be back. The food was great.
Service was slow. But I’m sure this will get better in time. While the food came out slow, it did come out fresh!
I surprisingly really enjoyed the loaded fries with the crumbled hot Cheetos on top. Perfect add of crunch!
My husband is a wing fanatic so the fact that he liked them, says a lot! The fried chicken sandwich is HUGE
While the return of the Mac is on the appetizer menu, it is big enough for a meal!
Wings, wings, and more wings. Their wings are crispy and juicy and delicious. i like that they don't soak their wings in sauce instead they are crispy and flavorful. they are seasoned so well that you can taste the flavors in every bite. we had fried pickles, fries, Easy Tiger, Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan wings. waffle, chicken tenders. everything was fresh!! and staff were so helpful and courteous!!
Been coming a few times to Gold Feather.
This round I decided to get the buffalo hot sauce on my wings. It wasn't as hot as I would have liked but the chicken was cooked perfectly.
The waffle fries were a little burnt but the marshmallow dip always fixes any mistake.
Definitely better than most wing places, especially on Mondays with the dine in deals.
The food was very flavorful and the chicken portions were huge, it’s honestly on of my new favorite chicken joints in town.
Server was nice and attentive.
